Your Library Card

Getting a card, renewing materials, placing holds, etc.

Who can get a card

Residents of Dorr Township are eligible for a Dorr Township Library card. We are members of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.

How to Get Your Card
We require a valid Michigan driver's license or Michigan ID as proof of address when issuing a library card. Minors are issued a library card with the permission of a legal guardian or parent.

Borrowing Limits
Residents are limited to 100 items on their library card at any given time, 10 of which may be videos. Non-residents are limited to 10 Dorr Township Library items overall.

Placing Holds
Holds may be placed from our website or at the circulation desk. There is a limit of 10 holds per card.

Renewing Your Borrowed Items
Items may be renewed once online or at the circulation desk. A third renewal will require the item to be checked by staff before another circulation is allowed. Videos are not renewable online.

Library Fines
Library fines are an incentive for you to return your materials on time so that others may enjoy them too. Fines on most materials are $.15 per day per item, the exception being videos, which are charged at $1.00 per day per item.
