PLEASE USE THE AMERICAN LEGION PARKING LOT ON THIS DAY AS OUR PARKING LOT WILL BE USED FOR THE LOCAL HERO EVENT!
How does summer reading work?
The Summer Reading program starts June 5th and you can sign up anytime after that!
We prefer that you use the Readsquared app to sign up for Summer Reading and keep track of your books, but we do have paper copies available at the library for those unable to use the app.
Kids ages 0-4 color in a book for every book they have read to them. Kids 5-12 color in a symbol for every 15 minutes they read or are read to. Kids ages 13-17 color in a symbol for every 30 minutes they read. Adults write down each book they read (10 kids' books = one adult)
Once your log is finished or you get 1000 points on Readsquared you are considered a Summer Reading finisher! You can turn in your entries for our large prize drawings and collect your finishing prize.
You can do as many logs as you are able for more prize entries. When you finish one keep going to have more chances to win!
Summer Reading Ends August 5th. If you have a physical log it must be turned in by 2 pm on the 5th. If you are participating through readsquared your must have your prize entry and points submitted before 11:59 pm on the 5th. Any entries turned in late or left in the outside drop box will not be counted.
